National Holocaust Museum

This guide to the National Holocaust Museum in Amsterdam is set on Plantage Middenlaan, where a wartime deportation theater once stood across the street from a teacher-training college and its neighboring nursery. It follows the daily gap in a guard's attention that families used to move children between the two buildings, and introduces Walter Sueskind, Henriette Pimentel and Johan van Hulst, who worked inside that gap.
