Dutch Resistance Museum Amsterdam

This guide to the Dutch Resistance Museum in Amsterdam opens before dawn on February 25, 1941, as two Communist organizers hand out leaflets after German troops dragged four hundred twenty-five young Jewish men from the city's Jewish quarter three days earlier. It follows how tram drivers, dock workers, and factory staff walked off their jobs one by one until an estimated three hundred thousand people had stopped working by midday. One of the men who called the strike, Piet Nak, appears again later in the story, still in Amsterdam.
