Atlantis Books E.E.

This guide to Atlantis Books in Santorini traces how two Americans, Craig Walzer and Oliver Wise, washed up on the island in 2002 and decided, over a bottle of wine, to open a bookshop where none existed. It follows the shop's twenty years carved into a cliffside cave in Oia, with a fisherman's boat among the tables and cats asleep between the spines, before the story turns to a crisis in the winter of 2024. A line painted straight onto the shop's wall, in the founders' own words, calls that winter the plainest sentence in the whole story.
