Galicia Jewish Museum

This guide to the Galicia Jewish Museum in Kraków's Kazimierz district follows the British photojournalist Chris Schwarz, who after covering Solidarity and wars abroad turned toward his own father's roots in the region once called Galicia. With the anthropologist Jonathan Webber, he spent nearly a decade driving into villages across southern Poland to photograph what remained of prewar Jewish life. It traces how those travels brought him to this former mill and warehouse in Kazimierz, Kraków's old Jewish quarter.
