Central Park

This guide to Jaipur's largest park follows the story behind the flagpole at its center, once the tallest in India, and the courtroom battle industrialist Naveen Jindal fought to win Indians the right to fly the national flag day and night. It also traces how this land passed from the royal gardens of nearby Rambagh Palace into public hands, after the Jaipur Development Authority took the royal family to court over it. The park opened for free public use in January 2006.
