World Erotic Art Museum

This guide to the World Erotic Art Museum on Miami Beach's Washington Avenue follows Naomi Wilzig, a grandmother from a conservative Jewish family in New Jersey, who spent years amassing thousands of pieces of erotic art while her husband, a bank president and Auschwitz survivor, stayed uneasy about the collection. Four American cities turned her away before she opened these doors in two thousand five, explaining her collection in plain terms: it showed what she called 'human, what is normal.' The objects inside range from ancient temple carvings to coy Victorian figurines.
