Inka Museum

This guide to the Inka Museum in Cusco opens with a question posed by the cases of painted keros in front of you: how do you display a marriage when only one half of it survived. It follows the querocamayoc artisans who carved these drinking cups in identical pairs, sealed with chicha at weddings, truces, and political deals, and traces how Andean painters kept working after the conquest, folding Inca processions and rulers into cups the Spanish dismissed as tableware.
