This guide to Armenian Street in George Town starts on 14 November 1910, when fifty-three men crowded into a shophouse here, doors bolted, to hear the exiled Sun Yat-sen ask for money for his revolution. It follows what the room gave that afternoon, and one organizer, Goh Say Eng, who sold off his family's property for the cause. Walk the same short street today and you will pass a very different piece of history, a painted girl pedaling a bicycle bolted to the wall.
