Catedral de Cancún (La Santa Cruz y de la Santísima Trinidad)

This guide to the Catedral de Cancún traces its origin to December 1996, when the Vatican moved the seat of this diocese from Chetumal to Cancún, a city that at the time had no cathedral at all. It follows Father Rafael Ruiz Padilla's effort to build one from donated land and neighborly help, and how construction stretched across two decades before the building was finally finished, only around 2009.
