Central Park Nairobi

This guide to Central Park Nairobi opens at a dry fountain wrapped around a white marble tower, in a park long used as the city's rally ground. It traces a 1983 fountain built after a coup plot accusation against President Daniel arap Moi, and the four-sided marble monument raised beside it in 1988 to mark ten years of his rule, paid for partly through deductions from civil servants' salaries.
