Taj Nature Walk

Taj Nature Walk sits five hundred meters from the Taj Mahal's eastern gate, a seventy-hectare reserve forest named for Pandit Satya Narain, a poet known as the Nightingale of Brij who came here to write among the trees rather than face the marble everyone else came to see. The guide traces his title, Jewel of Poets, and the trails, ponds and watchtowers the Forest Department later built around his ground. Listen for kingfishers by the ponds and peacocks moving through the undergrowth.
