Paliwal Park

Paliwal Park in Agra carries two names and two arguments about memory: laid out by the British as Hewitt Park across seventy acres of Civil Lines, renamed after independence for finance minister Krishna Dutta Paliwal, and shaped by the Greek merchant Johns family, whose library and 1905 Queen Victoria marble statue anchor its southern corner.
