Židovské muzeum v Praze - Maiselova synagoga

This guide to the Maisel Synagogue in Prague's Jewish Quarter opens with Mordecai Maisel, banker to Emperor Rudolf II and the richest Jew in the city, and the rare imperial privilege that let him build his own synagogue in 1592. It follows what happened after his death in 1601, when Rudolf's own officials moved against the estate he had left behind.
