Mucha Foundation Art Museum

This guide to the Mucha Foundation Art Museum in Prague opens in 2023, when one great-grandchild of the artist Alfons Mucha sued another over a gift he gave the city for nothing: twenty enormous canvases known as the Slav Epic, handed over in 1928 on one condition the city never met. It traces the family's dispute back through a 2016 lawsuit filed by another grandson, and forward to the museum you're standing in, which opened in 2025 inside the Savarin Palace. The building is only the first piece of a much larger gallery still being designed.
