Municipal house

This guide to the Municipal House in Prague traces the site's forgotten past as a royal palace, army barracks and ruin before the current Art Nouveau civic hall rose in 1912. It follows painter Alfons Mucha's ceiling in the Lord Mayor's Hall, a vision of Slavic unity ringed by eight Czech heroes, painted years before its message would matter.
