Museo Del Vidrio de Bogotá

This guide to the Museo del Vidrio de Bogotá traces glassmaking on this hillside back to 1834, when kilns and brick factories once supplied much of the city, and how that trade nearly vanished by the twentieth century's end. At its center is Miguel Angel Mahecha, a glassblower who trained as an apprentice, then spent three years in Ecuador before returning to open his own workshop.
