Estacion de la sabana

This guide to Estación de la Sabana in Bogotá tracks three men behind the building: architect Mariano Santamaría, who died in 1915, two years before his own station opened; engineer William Lidstone, who reworked the plans to fit a tightened budget; and Swiss sculptor Colombo Ramelli Adreani, who spent years carving a condor and coat of arms across the two-story stone facade. A 1954 remodel later stripped that ornament away and bolted on a third floor, though the trains it still sends north toward Zipaquirá run with live music the whole way.
