Fairy Bower Sea Pool

This guide to Fairy Bower Sea Pool in Sydney opens on a storm in June 2016, when a concrete toilet block tore loose and slammed into one of the ceramic sea nymphs guarding the pool's seaward edge. It traces the pool's own history, hand-carved from the sandstone shelf by local residents in 1929 on the site of an 1858 pleasure garden called the Fairy Bower.
