The San Diego Veterans Museum

This guide to the San Diego Veterans Museum traces the small wartime chapel built for the sailors of the old Naval Hospital next door, where a rotating pulpit turned to show a different faith at each service and chaplains married sweethearts and baptized newborns in the same small room. You'll hear how the chapel emptied when the hospital moved on and faced demolition by the nineteen eighties, and who in the community refused to let that happen.
