Musical Legends Park

This guide to Musical Legends Park in New Orleans opens with the bronze statue of Fats Domino and the four days in September 2005 when the city believed he had died. It traces how Hurricane Katrina's floodwaters reached the Lower Ninth Ward where Domino had lived his whole life, how his wife Rosemary's illness kept them from leaving, and how his agent and family lost contact with him entirely, down to the words spray-painted on his house.
