This guide to the Excalibur in Las Vegas covers Tournament of Kings, the jousting dinner show that has run in a windowless basement arena since the castle opened in June 1990. It traces the idea back to a Circus Circus entertainment director's trip to see a jousting dinner show in Los Angeles, and the father-son producing team hired to build something bigger for this new castle. Thirty-five performers and thirty-eight horses share the horseshoe-shaped arena, roughly the size of a basketball court, and no forks get handed out unless you ask for one.
