TD Garden

This guide to TD Garden in Boston opens on December 16, 1978, in the original Boston Garden that once stood beside this arena, when Boston College beat Harvard in a game that looked ordinary from the stands but was already decided by a sealed envelope of cash. It follows mob associate Henry Hill, later played by Ray Liotta in Goodfellas, as he arranges a point-shaving scheme running through nine games that season with a Boston College guard willing to shave his own team's margin. The two arenas stood side by side for three years before the old Garden finally came down in 1998.
