Dervish Lodge Museum

This guide to the Dervish Lodge Museum in Antalya opens on the sound of a whirling sema ceremony that once filled this thirteenth-century Seljuk domed hall, one of the earliest Mevlevi lodges in Anatolia. It traces the order back to the mystic poet Rumi and his son Sultan Veled, and describes the white robes, tall felt hats and small rooms where dervishes lived, studied and played the ney and rebab.
