Yung Island

This guide to Yung Island off Ao Nang near Krabi opens with the nickname the boat crews gave it, Mosquito Island, for the swarms that gather in the tree line during the rainy months. It moves underwater to the limestone walls on the northwest side, where snorkelers arriving early report baby tiger sharks, lionfish, and color-shifting cuttlefish, then to the calmer shallows on the southeast side.
