Jewel Rain Vortex

This guide to the Rain Vortex at Jewel Changi Airport traces architect Moshe Safdie's fascination with the lost Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and how that vision became a waterfall pouring through the heart of Changi's terminals. It follows the years-long engineering puzzle of building a glass-and-steel dome low enough to clear airport radar, and the thousands of uniquely shaped glass panels needed to pull it off.
