Bukit Timah Nature Reserve

This guide to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve in Singapore follows Alfred Russel Wallace, who rented a room at a church on this hill in 1854 and spent his days collecting beetles while working, unknown to Charles Darwin, on his own theory of evolution by natural selection. It traces what he found in these trails and the letter he eventually sent to Darwin in London.
