Radwani House - Msheireb Museums

Radwani House in Doha's Msheireb district is a restored 1920s courtyard home built for the Akbar Radwani family, and the one patch of old Doha that archaeologists got to excavate before it disappeared beneath the district's modern towers. The guide traces the shaded, colonnaded courtyard where a household spent its days closely together, and how everyday domestic life changed with the arrival of oil wealth and electricity. Architects spent years rebuilding it piece by piece while almost everything else from old Doha came down around it.
