Yamil Lu'um

This guide to Yamil Lu'um in Cancún follows two small Maya stone platforms wedged between two resort towers, built centuries before either hotel on the coast's single highest point. It traces the structure believed to have served as a lighthouse for canoes and traders, and the smaller shrine that only got its name after someone spotted a carved scorpion in its stone.
