This guide to teamLab Planets in Tokyo traces the museum back to 1998, when a Tokyo art collective called teamLab, founded by Toshiyuki Inoko and a band of self-styled ultra technologists, set out to make art you have to enter rather than just view. You'll wade barefoot through a knee-deep pool where digital koi scatter into flowers, and step into a room strung with sixty thousand points of light. It follows Inoko's belief that the borders around art were never really there to begin with.
