Rainbow Bridge

The captain, Naoyuki Nagashima, radioed for help as the jet dropped low toward the bridge's towers. The bridge itself was built between 1987 and 1993 to link the reclaimed island of Odaiba to central Tokyo, its nightly red, white and green lights running purely on solar power gathered along the towers.
