Osaka Science Museum

This guide to the Osaka Science Museum follows a boy who kept coming back: young Osamu Tezuka, decades before he became the father of modern manga, drawn again and again to a curved-mirror illusion and to Japan's first planetarium projector, installed here in 1937. It traces how those childhood visits echoed later in his own science-fiction manga, and what happened to the old museum after fifty years and roughly eleven million visitors.
