Yusentei Park

Yusentei Park's guide starts at the low doorway of a teahouse named for the strategist Kuroda Josui, and a discrepancy: the pond garden was laid out for a feudal lord in 1754, but the building doesn't match that age at all. It follows the family who bought the estate in 1928, decades after the Kuroda line lost it, and asks what they actually built here. The trail leads past a calligraphy-hung tea room and an imported stone lantern before the city opened the grounds to the public in 1981.
