Fermata Metro Università

This guide to the Fermata Metro Università in Naples follows designer Karim Rashid's decision to renovate a Line One stop using DuPont Corian, the same solid-surface material as a kitchen countertop, heated and bent into curves by a local firm called bsolid. It traces the corridor's control-center drum, its custom lime and pink hues found nowhere else on the network, and the overhead sculpture Synapsi, meant to trace the branching pathways of a nerve cell.
