Jaigarh Fort

This guide to the fortress above Amber introduces the Jaivana, the world's largest wheeled cannon, cast in the hilltop foundry Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II built here in 1720, and the single test-firing that sent its shot toward a village called Chaksu. It then turns to 1976, when Indira Gandhi's Emergency-era government sent an army unit to search the fort for treasure rumored to lie beneath its great water tank, closing the Delhi highway for three months.
