ISKCON Temple - Glory of India

This guide to the ISKCON Temple in Delhi opens in nineteen sixty-five aboard the cargo freighter Jaladuta, where a sixty-nine-year-old monk named A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada sailed for America with almost nothing, his heart stopping twice mid-voyage. It follows his arrival in New York and the curiosity shop on the Lower East Side that he turned into his first temple. From there it traces the years he spent circling the globe, temple by temple, before this hill in East of Kailash took shape.
