Bible Lands Museum Jerusalem

The Bible Lands Museum in Jerusalem opens with the story of Elie Borowski, a Polish-born antiquities dealer who spent decades acquiring ancient pieces from across the Bible lands before opening a museum for his collection here in 1992, alongside his wife and the museum's director, Batya Weiss. The guide follows how the two met, why he moved his collection from Toronto, and, years later, Batya's own admission that part of what he had gathered had, in fact, been stolen. It surveys galleries of clay tablets, seals and statues from Egypt, Babylon, Assyria and Canaan along the way.
