FINNS Beach Club

This guide to FINNS Beach Club on Berawa Beach in Bali follows Tony Smith, an Australian who settled on the island around 2009, and his partner Ketut Subina, who first tried a beach-club concept on the Bukit Peninsula before moving the idea here and naming the place after Smith's own son. The bamboo superstructure over the club, designed by the local firm PBM Architecture, climbs several storeys along the oceanfront. Berawa Beach's black volcanic sand looks inviting, but a lifeguard will wave you back from the water.
