Trsteno Arboretum

This guide to Trsteno Arboretum near Dubrovnik opens at the gate beneath two towering plane trees, tracing back to 1492 and a standing order from the Gozze family, noble ship owners of the Republic of Ragusa, who told their captains to bring home foreign soil, seeds and cuttings as ballast instead of stone.
