Anemospilia

This guide to Anemospilia near Heraklion reconstructs the moment archaeologist Yannis Sakellarakis opened a small Minoan temple on Mount Juktas in 1979 and found four people frozen exactly where they fell around 1700 BCE: a priestess, a man wearing an ornate ring, and a young man bound on a low stone platform beside a carved bronze blade.
