Mercat dels Encants de Barcelona

This guide to the Mercat dels Encants de Barcelona opens inside the Monday-morning auction that has run here since around 1300, when traders first laid used goods outside the medieval city walls. It follows the market's centuries of moving from square to square before it settled at Plaça de les Glòries in 1928, and its 2013 golden mirrored canopy by architect Fermín Vázquez.
