Basilica of the Sagrada Familia

This guide to the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona opens with a tram accident on a city street in June 1926, and the disheveled old man nobody recognized. From there it goes back to the thirty-one-year-old architect who inherited a half-built neo-Gothic shell and tore up the plans, and forward through a civil war that destroyed his own plaster models. Along the way it stops at the crypt below where you stand, where that architect is buried.
