This guide to the Planetarium in Copenhagen opens with Tycho Brahe, the Danish nobleman it's named for, who lost part of his nose in a swordfight over a math argument at a wedding in 1566 and spent the rest of his life wearing a replacement, with glue in his pocket in case it slipped. It follows him decades later to a long banquet in Prague in October 1601, where court manners kept him from leaving the table before his host did. The tilted dome behind the lake, opened in 1989, is one of the largest of its kind in Europe.
