This guide to Dockland in Hamburg opens with a puzzle: how do you get a steel skeleton as long as a football pitch to a building site with no room for a crane. It follows developer Robert Vogel GmbH and architect Hadi Teherani's answer, an office block shaped like a ship's bow that was welded whole in a Hamburg shipyard and floated down the Elbe to be lowered into place. A business school, NORDAKADEMIE, now teaches inside the finished landmark, alongside tenants paying a premium to work behind its steel bow.
