About this audio guide
This guide to Xi'an Qujiang Ocean World follows a 2014 undercover investigation by the China Cetacean Alliance, tracking what observers logged while watching the dolphin and mermaid shows tourists still queue for today. It lingers on the tricks performed in the water, the tail-walking and hoop-spinning, and on what the tanks themselves seemed to be missing. Watch the dolphins circle the glass from the same vantage point the investigators once stood at, stopwatch in hand.
