Parque Brig. Eduardo Gomes (Aterro do Flamengo)

This guide to Parque Brig. Eduardo Gomes, Rio's Aterro do Flamengo, starts with a stretch of metal wall that Cariocas call the wall of shame, and traces how the whole park exists on rubble from a leveled hill, dumped into Guanabara Bay in the 1950s at the urging of Lota de Macedo Soares.
