Museu da Chácara do Céu

This guide to Museu da Chacara do Ceu in Rio de Janeiro returns to Carnival night, February 24, 2006, when three unarmed guards were the only security standing between a modernist hillside museum and its collection. It follows the museum's origins in collector Raymundo Ottoni de Castro Maya's house, opened to the public after his death, and the ordinary evening, samba drums and fireworks outside, into which four armed men walked through the door.
