AC/DC Lane

This guide to AC slash DC Lane in Melbourne opens with the 2004 council vote that renamed a dull former service alley after the band, and Lord Mayor John So's line about a laneway to heaven. It follows the trouble that came right after the ceremony, when Australia's street-naming rules would not allow the lightning bolt at the center of the band's logo onto the sign. The lane was formerly known as Corporation Lane, after a nearby city works yard.
