Delete Your Data
Last updated: October 24, 2026
This page explains how to ask us to delete the data that the AudioTour: Free Travel Guides app for Android and iOS, published by audiotour.io, has collected about you.
How to request deletion
- Open the AudioTour: Free Travel Guides app and go to Settings.
- Under About, tap Device ID to copy it.
- Email support@audiotour.io with the subject Delete my data and paste your Device ID into the message.
- We reply to confirm we received your request, and delete your data within 30 days. We email you once it is done.
If you no longer have the app installed, email us anyway with the device model and the approximate dates you used the app. Without the Device ID we may not be able to tell your data apart from other people's, so we can't promise to find all of it.
Why we need your Device ID
The app has no accounts. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number. Instead, the app creates a random Device ID when it is installed and sends it with its requests. It is not your phone's hardware identifier or its advertising ID, and it is the only way we can find the data that belongs to your installation.
Uninstalling the app (or clearing its storage) deletes the Device ID from your phone, and a reinstall gets a new one. Data already sent to us stays on our servers until you ask us to delete it, so copy your Device ID before you uninstall.
What we delete
Everything stored on our servers under your Device ID:
- Listening history: which guides you played, for how long, and in which language.
- App activity: app opens, places you viewed and guides you requested.
- Feedback you sent from the app: ratings, comments, and the technical details attached to them (device model, operating system and app version).
- Chat assistant: your conversations, and the custom guides and routes made for you.
- Request logs from the last 30 days: the IP address and app version information (User-Agent) recorded with your requests.
What we keep
- Aggregated statistics, such as the total number of plays of a guide or daily usage totals. These contain no Device ID, IP address or other information that identifies you.
- The email exchange about your request, as a record that we handled it.
How long we keep data if you don't ask
- Request logs with IP addresses: 30 days. After that they are reduced to totals without the IP address or User-Agent.
- Listening history, app activity and feedback: kept until you ask us to delete them.
- Chat messages: 90 days. Deleting a conversation in the app deletes its messages sooner. Custom guides and routes made for you: kept until you ask us to delete them.
Data held by our service providers
The app also uses Google Firebase Analytics (usage statistics), Sentry (crash reports) and LaunchDarkly (feature settings). These services use their own randomly generated identifiers, which are not linked to your Device ID, so we can't look up your data in them. Their data is deleted under the retention periods set with each provider. See the Privacy Policy for details.
The website
The audiotour.io website has no Device ID, and our servers store no identifier from your browser, so there is nothing to look up for a deletion request. Listening statistics from the website are counted with an identifier that changes every week and cannot be traced back to you afterwards. The website keeps a random identifier in your browser, which our server uses only to limit request rates and never saves. To remove it and everything else the website stores in your browser, clear the site data for audiotour.io in your browser settings.
