Hollywood Walk of Fame

This guide to the Hollywood Walk of Fame opens with a theft: one night in November 2005, someone cut Gregory Peck's star clean out of the sidewalk with a cement saw, unnoticed, leaving a bare rectangle of dirt behind. It follows honorary mayor Johnny Grant's public plea for the star's safe return, and two earlier thefts of Jimmy Stewart and Kirk Douglas's stars years before.
