Huay Keaw Waterfall

This guide to Huay Kaew Waterfall on the lower slopes of Doi Suthep outside Chiang Mai opens with a local legend: a young woman named Bua Ban climbing the granite cliff above the pool after a broken heart, and the shrine to eternal love that grew from her story. It follows the water's path down from higher falls near Khun Chang Khien, and the monk Kruba Srivichai, whose volunteers carved the mountain road so pilgrims could reach the Doi Suthep temple above.
